Green Gateway of Business Forum takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Within the Education for Sustainable Development project by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Ministry has been supporting initiatives on introducing environmental management system (EMS) to entities and developing environment-friendly and resource saving businesses.
In the frame of it, ‘Green Gateway of Business’ national forum took place on November 16, involving representatives from government and business organizations. At the third forum government policy on supporting green businesses, ongoing projects, global trends and business opportunities were introduced while representatives of successful business organizations shared their practice on introduction of EMS.
The attendees
had a discussion on leverage for green business and exchanged information and initiatives
that could be implemented in the future.
Within the Education for Sustainable Development project, 809 entrepreneurs have been trained in introduction of EMS and 271 entrepreneurs in training for preparing implementers since 2016.
