'Three Sad Hills' opera to be staged on December 30

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This year marks the 68th anniversary
of foundation of the first-ever music theatre of Mongolia and 55th anniversary
of establishment of Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
Thus, staff of the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera
and Ballet is to organize an event dedicated to the anniversaries to honor the
theatre’s previous authorities, artists and staff on December 30.
A scientific conference on establishment of the first music theatre will take place in frame of the event. Moreover, Three Dramatic Characters (also known
as Three Sad Hills) opera by B.Damdinsuren will be staged. An interesting fact
is that the opera was performed on December 30, 1950 when the first music
theatre of Mongolia was put into operation.
