Postage stamp to be released for 50th anniversary of Mongolia- Turkey relations
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey, postal organizations of two countries will release a postage stamp of commemoration.
The 50th anniversary
of the diplomatic relations will be marked on June 24 this year; thus the Mongolia-Turkey
parliamentary group in the Mongolian parliament held a consultative meeting to
define context and topic of the stamp and plan arrangements.
Attendants of the meeting considered that history, cultural heritage and
friendly relations of two countries should be depicted on the stamp as there
are many historical heritages of Turkic people such as Bilge Khan and General Kul
Tigin Complex in Orkhon Valley in Mongolia and of Mongolia including memorials
of the Ilkhanate and the bridge established by a Mongolian noble in Erzurum province,
Turkey.
Present at the meeting were head
of the Mongolia-Turkey Parliamentary Group in the Mongolian Parliament T.Ayursaikhan,
Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia Ahmet Yazal, Mongolia’s
Ambassador to Turkey B.Batkhishig, CEO of ‘Mongol Post’ JSC B.Ankhbaatar and
others.
