Minister D.Sumiyabazar attends World Economic Forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry D.Sumiyabazar attended the annual World Economic Forum held on January 22-24 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
The 49th World Economic Forum discussed encountering issues at global, regional and industrial level together with representatives of public and private organizations, defining near-term and future perspectives of world economy.
Minister D.Sumiyabazar attended sessions such as ‘Meeting of policy makers in mining and metal sectors’, ‘Reception of energy, chemical, mining and metal production’ as well as ‘Advancing Belt and Road Initiatives’.
Furthermore, the Minister held meetings with representatives of some foreign banks, financial organizations and stock exchanges within the framework of ensuring preparation works of selling up to 30 percent shares of Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC at foreign and domestic stock markets. At the meetings, the sides also shared views on cooperation possibilities in mining sector.
