52836 tons of crude oil exported
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of January 24, 434.637 barrel or 58896 tons of crude oil have been extracted nationwide and 388.771 barrel or 52836 tons of crude oil have been exported. Mongolia has a 39-day reserve of oil products for domestic need.
The Ministry of Mining and
Heavy Industry held its regular press conference titled ‘Transparent and
Accountable Mining’ today, January 31, presenting statistical information of
the sector as of preliminary performance of 2018. In 2018, the sector accumulated MNT 2 trillion and 51.5 billion to
the state budget as taxes, fees and royalties. MNT 80 billion was accumulated from gold mining, MNT 910.6
billion--from coal, MNT 76.9 billion -- zinc, MNT 871.9 billion --copper, MNT
17.1 billion --iron, MNT 16.3 billion --fluorspar and MNT 78.8 billion from
others.
Regarding gross production of major commodities are as following: 50 million tons of coal, 1.3 million
tons of copper concentrate, 20.7 tons of gold, 5.5 thousand tons of molybdenum concentrate, 3.4
million tons of iron ore concentrate, 80.7 thousand tons of fluorspar, 87.9
thousand tons of zinc concentrate, 6.4 million barrel of crude oil, 14.2
thousand tons of copper cathode.
According to the preliminary performance of 2018 gross production of industrial sector reached MNT 15.7 trillion, showing an increase of 2.7 trillion (21 percent) compared to the same period of the previous year. Mining and extractive sector makes up 71.7 percent of gross production of industrial sector.
Total foreign trade turnover reached USD 12.9 billion,
with an increase of USD 2.4 billion (22.3 percent). Export reached USD 7
billion and 11.8 million with an increase of USD 811.1 million while import
reached USD 5 billion and 875 million, showing an increase of USD 1 billion and
539.6 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
As of January 29, a total of 3085 special
licenses of exploration and mining were registered.
