45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany celebrated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This year marks the 45th anniversary
of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal
Republic of Germany. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Embassy in
Ulaanbaatar jointly held an honorary reception dedicated to the anniversary at
the Ministry.
The event brought together over 180 guests including state
and government officials, heads of diplomatic missions and international
organizations in Mongolia, Mongolian and German businesspeople and
representatives of civil society organizations.
At the opening of the event, congratulatory remarks were delivered
by Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of
Germany to Mongolia Stefan Duppel Hermann. Both sides expressed their pleasure
at successful development of Mongolia-Germany relations that has expanded to
comprehensive partnership and conveyed their readiness to reinforce it and
deepen bilateral cooperation.
During the reception, chorus of the State Academic Theater
of Opera and Ballet and the German Ambassador’s spouse sang national anthems of
the two countries and Composer E.Choidog’s ‘Mongolian beautiful country’ and Ludwig
Van Beethoven’s ‘Coriolan Overture’ were played. Moreover, a photo exhibition was mounted, showing the history of Mongolia-Germany political relations
between 1990 and 2000.
The 45th anniversary will be celebrated throughout the year
in both countries.
