Ambassador to Canada meets Senior Vice President of Mining Association of Canada

/MONTSAME/ Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada Ya.Ariunbold met with Ben Chalmers,
Senior Vice President of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC), exchanging opinions
on bilateral cooperation in mining sector.
At the
meeting, Ambassador Ya.Ariunbold was briefed on the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative of MAC, a performance
system that helps mining companies evaluate their social and environmental performance.
Mr. Ben Chalmers informed that all members of the association adhere to the
principles of TSM and the initiative has been adopted in five countries.
The sides
agreed to work together in establishing cooperation between mining associations
of the two countries and introducing TSM to Mongolia.
