Much-needed medical equipment handed over

/MONTSAME/ On March 12, under the project grant aid of Japan, medical equipment
worth around MNT 8 billion was handed over to hospitals and medical centers of
Mongolia.
In particular, a portable surgical x-ray machine designated for use in vascular surgery and liver and kidney transplantation were presented to the First Central Hospital, and 34 ultrasound scans each worth MNT 300 million to central hospitals of 21 aimags, health centers of nine districts, First and Third Central Hospitals, and National Cancer Center. The ultrasound scan is used to evaluate fetal development and heart and liver diagnosis and tests.
At the
handover ceremony, Health Minister said she will be attentive
towards supply of necessary equipment in the future.
