Center for survivors of violence opened in Bayanzurkh district
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ A One Stop Service Center for survivors of gender-based violence and domestic violence opened in Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar on March 20. It is the fifth OSSC in the city- a result of joint efforts and cost sharing between the district authorities, UNFPA Mongolia and the Swiss Development Agency.
"This
serves as a great example for other district and aimag leaders and state
agencies on what can be done to help survivors of violence access protection
and necessary services,” said Kaori Ishikawa, the UNFPA Head of Office in
Mongolia. All together UNFPA helped opening 13 OSSCs all over the country.
Three more OSSCs are planned to be launched this year.
