Schengen visa center opens at German Embassy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 5, the VFS Global company that provides outsourcing and technology services for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide inaugurated the Schengen Short Term Visa Application Center at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ulaanbaatar. Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Stefan Duppel Hermann was present at the inauguration ceremony.
The German Embassy in Ulaanbaatar represents 15 countries including Belgium,
Denmark, Finland, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria,
Portugal, Sweden, Slovenia, and Spain in Mongolia for Schengen Short Term Visa.
From now on, the VFS Global will be in charge of the short term visa
application at the Embassy.
The number of visa applicants at the German Embassy has increased rapidly in recent years following the economic growth of Mongolia and thus, it was decided to receive visa applications through VFS Global to enhance visa service accessibility, especially to make appointment wait times for visa application shorter.
