‘Let’s Protect the Nature’ campaign launches

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ By the order of Minister of Justice and Home Affairs, ‘Let’s Protect The Nature’ campaign launched on April 15 to decrease the environmental crime rate.


In 2018, a total of 268 offenses against the environment have been recorded and of which 233 have been eliminated by that citizens, the National Police Agency reports.  


In the scope of the monthly campaign, joint activities will be held nationwide such as publicizing aftereffects of crime, raising people's awareness on environmental crime prevention and conducting promotional and influential works for enhancing their legal knowledge and reducing environmental crime rate.


In addition, police departments have been inspecting crimes against the environment in five categories including polluting the environment, illegal mining and use of minerals, illegal hunting, illegal logging and putting toxic and hazardous chemical substances in illegal circulation.
