Opportunities to put Mongolian films into Hollywood discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A discussion took place on putting Mongolian films into Hollywood took place at the State House on May 9. Adjunct Advisor to the President in charge of the film industry, Head of the Mongolian National Film Commission M.Orgil made a statement during the discussion.
He said, “The Mongolian National Film Commission was established in 2017. In the past two years, we have worked with our goal as attracting the current globally dominant Hollywood films to Mongolia, attracting more investment into our economy. In order to do so, we are currently working in partnership with a major foreign legal firm to create the legal environment for the bill on supporting the film industry, which has been submitted to the parliament.” Officials of the commission also highlighted that the project development for the first ever national film factory has been completed.
With the support of the President’s Office, the commission became an official member of the Association of the Film Commissioners International, which is a network of over 300 commissions from various countries.
