Foreign Minister receives departing Ambassador of QatarPolitics
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 13, Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar received Ambassador of Qatar to Mongolia Sultan bin Salmin Al Mansouri in connection with his return to his homeland.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar noted that the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Qatar have been active in recent years and expressed his delight with the stability of high-level dialogues. Foreign Minister also mentioned about the meetings and negotiations he held with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister during his visit to Qatar last year, sharing views with the Ambassador on the discussed high-level visit, establishment of Qatar Embassy in Mongolia and finalization of documents on cooperation in culture, education and tourism.
Ambassador Sultan bin Salmin Al Mansouri said that he is delighted with the expanding bilateral relations and expressed willingness to hold in high-level visit and carry out a comprehensive dialogue on bilateral cooperation.
The parties unanimously noted the active cooperation in defense sector and discussed further expansion of cooperation in trade, economy, agriculture, culture and sports. Namely, organizing Mongolian culture days in Qatar, develop cooperation between the national museums of the two countries, supporting the organization of ‘Children of Asia’ international sports games and exploiting full potential of bilateral cooperation in agriculture.
Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the Ambassador’s effort to develop relations between the countries and wished good luck in his future endeavors. Ambassador Sultan bin Salmin Al Mansouri in return, expressed his gratitude to the Government of Mongolia for the support throughout his assignment to Mongolia.
