‘Mongolian Cultural Days’ launched in St. Petersburg

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 9, the opening ceremony of the ‘Mongolian Cultural Days in St. Petersburg’ was held in the Chamber Hall of the Saint Petersburg Court Chapel, the oldest active Russian professional musical institution.


In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin recalled the Ulaanbaatar Cultural Days was successfully held in St. Petersburg three years back and expressed pleasure at elevating the previous cultural event to national level in a year marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory of Khalkh Gol Battles that made a substantial contribution to securing Mongolia’s freedom, independence, and national security. The program of the cultural days features a scientific conference and photo and manuscript exhibitions. I am glad our cultural event is opening with a concert of the State Morin Khuur Ensemble, the Deputy PM said.

After the opening, Deputy PM U.Enkhtuvshin together with the officials accompanying him visited the Nicholas Roerich Estate Museum and enjoyed a photo exhibition themed ‘Ulaanbaatar and the Roerichs’.
