Young scientists awarded grants of MNT 10 million

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Grants worth MNT 10 million were awarded to ten young researchers each to support their creative projects that would introduce innovative products and services. Presenting the grant certificates, Minister of Education, Culture, Science, and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg said, “The government now has to be attentive towards investing in science and supporting our researchers as it neglected this matter for many years,” expressing his confidence that the scientists would contribute to the country’s social and economic development.


One of the grantees, lecturer of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology A.Odgerel said “For scholars who have successfully graduated from major universities abroad, favorable research environment is one of the pressing issues. Thus, the grant is a great support for us. Let’s promote research-based, scientific knowledge and attitude as well as information about foreign and domestic scholarship programs that support research activities.”


The projects selected from a total of 36 projects are:

  • ‘Development of artificial intelligence-based drone’ by Ts.Tengis
  • ‘Innovative research on determining and introducing optimal technological solution for production of probiotic drink from camel milk’ by Ch.Javzandulam
  • ‘Development of automated water metering system for Ulaanbaatar’ by A.Odgerel
  • ‘Research on photodynamic disinfection of plant pathogens’ by B.Bayarmaa
  • ‘Ways of determining the degree of liver fibrosis with cytokines in blood during chronic viral hepatitis’ by B.Batbold
  • ‘Development of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for diagnosis of zoonosis’ by B.Chinchuluun
  • ‘Research on allium senescens and its introduction to feed manufacturing for increased meat production’ by B.Enkhdolgor
  • ‘Development of eco, advanced technology for identification of low grade gold’ by S.Odonchimeg
  • ‘Detection and diagnosis of viral infections of greenhouse leafy greens in Mongolia’ by I.Davaajargal
  • ‘Research on antioxidant content of wheat sprouts’ by B.Odgerel
