Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum organized with Inner Mongolia
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia in collaboration with the People's Government of Inner
Mongolia Autonomous Region of China organized the 2019 Trade and Investment
Cooperation Forum between Mongolia and Inner Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar on June
27.
Opening of the event was attended by Member of Parliament B.Purevdorj, Economic and Industrial Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia Ts.Erdenebat, Chief of Office of the Prime Minister B.Enkh-Amgalan, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Davaasuren, Chairwoman of Inner Mongolia Bu Xiaolin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia Xing Haiming, and representatives from over 300 Mongolian and Inner Mongolian companies.
In his opening remarks, State
Secretary D.Davaasuren said that Inner Mongolia accounts for more that 60 percent of
the trade between Mongolia and China while underlining that the forum is of great
importance in further expansion of bilateral trade turnover and advancement of
investment cooperation.
Representatives from the Ministry of
Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Ministry of Environment and Tourism,
National Development Agency, and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and
Industry participated in the forum’s discussions, introducing projects on investment
and introduction of advanced technology in non-mining sectors including
agriculture and tourism.
Within the framework of the forum, the Mongolian and Inner Mongolian entities signed CNY 6.9 billion-worth 15 agreements on using coal deposits, concentrating coal, building meat processing plant, exporting processed meat, dairy products, and wild berries, purchasing washed cashmere and heat-processed meat and other issues.
