Delegates of South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province visit Darkhan-Uul aimag

Darkhan-Uul /MONTSAME/ This year marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between the Citizen’s Representatives Khural (local council) of Darkhan-Uul aimag and Provincial Assembly of Gyeonggi Province of the Republic of Korea. On the occasion of the anniversary, representatives of the Darkhan Uul-Gyeonggi friendship group headed by member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly’s Standing Committee on Construction and Transportation and the friendship group’s chair Shu Hyung Ryur and vice chair Jeong Dea Woon are paying a visit to the aimag between June 30 and July 4.
Darkhan-Uul aimag’s Governor S.Nasanbat and head of the local council G.Erdenebat, and local council members met with the delegation on July 2.
In his opening remarks, Mr G.Erdenebat gave detailed information on the aimag and its council as well as the activities carried out and investment made within the framework of the memorandum of friendly relations established between Darkhan-Uul and Gyeonggi in 2014, while talking about further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Aimag Governor S.Nasanbat made proposals to collaborate in investing in the highly beneficial sector of livestock, especially the leather factory to be built in the aimag, expanding cooperation in education, heath, business, and tourism, upskilling workforce and providing a legal framework for locals to work in the aimag.
Moreover, the Gyeonggi delegation presented an ambulance to the aimag’s health department. Another ambulance had been handed over to Mr G.Erdenebat for the health center of Shariin-gol soum last week.
Previously, the South Korean side has provided two fire trucks and six ambulances to the aimag’s health and emergency authorities.
