First round of wrestling tournament starts

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Annual wrestling tournament dedicated to the celebration of national Naadam festival started at the Central Stadium.

This year, a total of six national wrestling champions and eight Lions of State are participating in the tournament. In addition to experienced Garudas and Elephants of State, young wrestlers are challenging their power as well.

Naadam wrestling tournament in the capital has the largest number of wrestlers, usually 512 and on the special anniversaries 1024. Following the competition in Ulaanbaatar, wrestling tournaments held in every aimag and soum of Mongolia.
