National off-road race to be organized

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian Off-Road Federation (MOF) will host the ‘RFC Mongolia 2019’ (Rainforest Challenge) international tournament between July 21 and 26. Organizers of the event gave press briefing today.
In addition to over 40 national athletes, racers of Russia and Malaysia will compete in the race, overcoming 16 obstacles such as mud, water and mountains.
The MOF Board member Ya.Myagmarsuren said “Safety of the racing is well secured in accordance with the international standards and rules. The federation will not build new traces for the racing, the old tracks for winter races will be used. Thus, there will be no negative impact on the environment. Moreover, the waste issues will be regulated by fine and racing scores. Some 40 professional and over 30 amateur national racers participated in the recent ‘Mazaalai’ off-road race. Our racers have the potential to succeed in the off-road race due to natural geographical features.”
