Dariganga silver art exhibition on display

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of museum in Mongolia and the 70tth anniversary of the Ethnographic Museum of Sukhbaatar aimag, an exhibition of Dariganga style silver items titled ‘Precious heritage’ opened at the National Museum of Mongolia.

Collection of about 200 Dariganga silver items kept in the Sukhbaatar Ethnographic Museum and more than 10 items of the people were displayed at the exhibition. 

The items include silver saddles, bridles, knives and bowls with unique double-framed engraving of moving dragon, flowers, leaves and butterflies. The whole composition and design of patterns and decorations of Dariganga style largely differ from the craftsmanship of other regions and Dariganga style specifically double-silver engraving style is famous in Mongolia.

The works of best craftsmen of Dariganga soum will be displayed until August 2.
