Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An exhibition hall themed ‘Paleozoic Era’ opened at the Central Museum of Mongolian Dinosaurs on July 31.
The hall showcases
the origin and evolution of ancient species and plants from the era through
restored skeletons, pictures, and fossils.
The museum previously displayed the permanent or temporary exhibitions: ‘Wonders of the Cretaceous period’ in 2016, ‘Mid-Paleozoic Era’ in 2017, and ‘The development of life on Earth’ in 2018.
Director of
the Central Museum of Mongolian Dinosaurs N.Javzmaa said, “We prepared the
exhibits, visually ordinary, but of great scientific significance, in eight
months. People usually think of dinosaurs when talking about ancient species. The
exhibition serves a purpose to show that fauna existed even before the
dinosaurs. Our museum is a cognitive space displaying science based exhibits. We
plan to open four more halls after this fifth one by 2020”
