Minister of Foreign Affairs meets UN Secretary-General

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 28, during his participation in the General Debate of the 74th General Assembly of the United Nations, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D.Tsogtbaatar held a meeting with Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres to exchange views on relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the UN.
At the meeting, highlighting the importance of the bilateral ties and cooperation the government of Mongolia developing with the UN, Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar thanked for the UN’s consistent support for the implementation of Mongolia’ socio-economic development goals. After conveying greetings from Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, he mentioned that Mongolian soldiers and officers are serving in peacekeeping missions of the UN and also expressed full support for the UN reform activities.
For his part, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that he greatly values the efforts put by Mongolia for maintaining peace and security in the Northeast Asian region.
