‘Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy’ becomes champion of FIBA 3x3 Jeju Challenger

Ulaaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian team ‘Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy’ became
champion of FIBA 3x3 Jeju Challenger 2019 that took place in the Republic of
Korea.
Mongolian team consisted of basketball players
E.Tserenbaatar, D.Delgernyam, E Dulguun and G.Tsenguunbayar won over ‘Piran’
team of Slovenia by 13:10 at the
final game. This is the first incidence that an Asian team has won the first place
of a world grand prix.
Our
team defeated ‘Neva’ team of Russia in the semi-final and ‘Zemun’ team of Serbia by
17:16 at the
match of top 8 teams. With this
victory, the Mongolian team is qualified for participation in FIBA 3x3 World Tour
Masters of the season, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, team player of Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, IM D.Delgernyam has been selected as the most valuable player, MVP of the competition.
