Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Scientists of Institute of Physics and Technology of National Academy of Sciences invented the beta version of carbon monoxide detector using MQ-7 detector that signals when the carbon monoxide level surpasses the recommended level.

The device shows CO level in “PPM” unit on LCD screen and gives signal when carbon monoxide level surpasses the normal level. The device has a microcontroller and can be modified and updated.

Carbon monoxide is produced by the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing fuels, such as gas, cial, oil, coke and wood. People are facing the danger to lose their lives nowadays because this type of gas is neither visible nor has any odor. Therefore, detectors is necessary to prevent possible risks relating to carbon monoxide. The inventors emphasized that it is absolutely possible to produce in Mongolia with the help of government instead of importing CO detector from foreign countries.
