Third Mongolia-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Commission Meeting held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 3rd Intergovernmental Commission Meeting between Mongolia and the Kyrgyz Republic on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation took place in Bishkek city of Kyrgyzstan on October 29-31.
The meeting was co-chaired by Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan from Mongolian side and Minister of Transport and Roads Zh.Beishenov from Kyrgyz side.
The sides revived the meeting that broke off for five years even though the sides agreed to hold it every two years. At the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, investment, business, finance, agriculture, road, transport, health, culture and education and signed a protocol after exchanging views on actions to be taken in these sectors in recent years.
The parties carried out certain works for realization of agreed issues during the Mongolian President’s official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic in June this year. In particular, a working group of agriculture sector of Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan has been set up and Mongolian delegates visited Kyrgyzstan. Furthermore, a meeting between agencies of the two countries in charge of veterinary hospital and quarantine issues has taken place.
The next Intergovernmental Commission Meeting between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan will be held in 2021 in Ulaanbaatar city.
