‘Culture and Arts Management in Mongolia’ program successfully completes

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In the framework of the partnership with the Institute of Media Studies at FU Berlin of Germany with the support of the Culture and Arts Support Fund of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, an advanced-level professional development exchange program for young leaders in culture and arts administration and management was organized in the cities of Ulaanbaatar and Berlin in September and October.


Executives, managers, and specialists of nine governmental and non-governmental institutions in performance arts, and entertainment as well as galleries, local cultural centers, and cultural center for the deaf were involved in the program, of which aims are to further develop the infrastructure of culture and arts, its sustainable development and partnership through building the capacity of management, administration, and human resource management of institutions in the sector.


Led by Director of Institute of Media Studies at FU Berlin Prof. Dr. Klaus Siebenhaar, art historian J.Bodibaatar, administration methodologist O.Oyuntuya, and legal consultant for copyright Dr. D.Uyanga, workshops were organized as the first stage of the program in Ulaanbaatar between September 23 and 29 and October 9 and 16. 



In the framework of the exchange program, the participants became acquainted with the management, structure, and operations of the culture and arts institutions of Berlin, and did a research on know-how based on the theoretical knowledge they acquired from the workshops. Executives of a total of 17 governmental and non-governmental culture and arts institutions received them, introducing their operations, and discussing various issues, such as program, marketing, audience development, arts education, cultural and creative industries, clusters, and international partnership.
