In aims of learning from the good practices in increasing involvement of parents and guardians in the operations of kindergartens and schools, and discussing potential solutions, a consultative meeting was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, World Bank, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and UNICEF on November 8.

During the meeting, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg did a presentation on the topic, ‘Ways to increase involvement of parents and guardians in the operations of kindergartens and schools’, noting the importance of parents sharing their good practices as well as teachers and schools taking the initiative and each side fulfilling their duties as stated in the agreement.

One of the objectives set by the Ministry for the academic year of 2019-2020 is to increase the involvement, duty and responsibility of parents and guardians in operations of kindergartens and schools. Thus, in aims of preventing potential risks for children in kindergartens and schools, and defining the roles and duties of the educational institutions as well as parents and guardians, a model agreement to establish with parents and guardians of kindergarteners and schoolchildren was approved in August 2019.
