Deputy Governor in charge receives Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of Poland

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The First Deputy Governor in charge of Development Policy of the Ulaanbaatar J.Batbayasgalan today received Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Małgorzata Gosiewska. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Krzysztof Bojko, Secretary of Capital City Council B.Batbyamba, Deputy Chairman of City Planning and Development Department of Governor’s Office Ts.Tulga and other officials.




Emphasizing that the cooperation has been expanding in the fields of education, trade, labor, humanity etc. since the diplomatic relations established in 1950, First Deputy Governor J.Batbayasgalan expressed his willingness to expand the cooperation of Ulaanbaatar and Warsaw cities in education and business sectors. Moreover, he noted that the capital city is putting emphasize on celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries which will mark in 2020 and series of activities will be held in the framework of the celebration.


Over 900 citizens of Mongolia work in the Republic of Poland and more than 20 students receive scholarship from the Government of the Republic of Poland annually. In the course of the meeting Mr.J.Batbayasgalan requested to increase the number of scholarship recipients in the future.


Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Małgorzata Gosiewska pledged to work on increasing the number of Mongolian students to receive the scholarship and to deepen the bilateral cooperation of Ulaanbaatar and Warsaw as a Parliament Member elected from Warsaw city.
