Social Insurance fund revenue reached MNT 2.5 trillion

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. According to the General Authority for Health Insurance and General Authority for Social Insurance, social insurance fund’s revenue reached MNT 2.5 trillion in the first 11 months of 2019, reflecting an increase of MNT 378.7 billion or 17.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. The fund’s expenditure was MNT 2.3 trillion, showing an increase of MNT 361.8 billion or 18.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. 


The MNT 378.7 billion increase in the social insurance fund’s revenue was mainly affected by increases in pension fund revenue by MNT 308.4 billion or 20.3% and health insurance fund revenue by MNT 32.7 or 12.2% billion from the same period of the previous year.


The MNT 361.8 billion increase in the social insurance fund’s expenditure was mainly affected by increases in pension fund expenditure by MNT 198.9 or 13.4% and industrial accident and occupational disease insurance fund’s expenditure by MNT 70.4 billion or 2.7 times from the same period of the previous year.  


In the first 11 months of 2019, General Office of Labor and Welfare Service reported that pensions and allowances worth of MNT 272.1 billion were granted to 454.7 thousand people from the Social Welfare fund, in which, the number of pension receivers increased by 243.0 thousand or 2.1 times and the amount of granted pensions and allowances increased by MNT 139.0 billion or 2.0 times compared to the same period of the previous year. The increases were mainly caused by 3.1 times increase in the number of beneficiaries of "0-3-year-old child care allowance and pregnant mother's allowance" and 8.0 times increase in the amount of granted pensions and allowance.
