Ice sculptures of Prague landmark to be put on display
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic. On the occasion of the anniversary, ice sculptures of two of the most famous landmarks of Prague - Charles Bridge and Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert – are being built by world ice sculpting champion Ts.Batmunkh at the Sukhbaatar square. The sculptures will be complete December 16 and will be showcased until the Lunar New Year of Mongolia.
The first
anniversary celebration event funded by two Czech companies operating in
Mongolia, Khaanzaa and Agrofert, being organized by the Czech Embassy and
Mongolian partners. Incidentally, the capital city authority is also planning
to open an ice town at the central square.
