State Prize conferred upon works of Bayanmongol Jazz Band of the State Philharmonic Orchestra

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 2228th anniversary of the Statehood, the 813th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 108th anniversary of Restoration of National Freedom and Independence, the 98th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, and the 30th anniversary of the Democratic Revolution, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga issued yesterday, December 29, a decree on awarding the State Prize.
The
presidential decree says:
“Authorized by
Article 33, Section 1, Clause 7 of the Constitution of Mongolia, Article 15,
Clause 1 of the Law on the President of Mongolia, and Code on State Prize,
adopted with the presidential decree No. 302 of 2006, I hereby DECREE that:
On behalf of
the Bayanmongol Jazz Band of the State Philharmonic Orchestra, composer,
guitarist S. Baatarsukh, composer, conductor B.Ganbat, saxophonist
L.Sukhbaatar, sound engineer D.Gantumur, trombone player A.Khishigdorj,
conductor B.Nyamdorj, singer Kh.Tumurbaatar, and conductor S.Saruul-Od SHALL be
awarded with the State Prize as a high recognition of its foundation and
development of modern Estrada and jazz music in Mongolia, substantial
contribution to the modern Mongolian musical repertoire, making of the
1981 Bayanmongol music plate and the 2019 Bayanmongol – 50
Years music plate which contain musical scores that are immortal in the
hearts of the Mongolian people, and the hard work of the generations of artists
of the Bayanmongol Jazz Band of the State Philharmonic Orchestra, which has
produced many talented artists who have done valuable service throughout the
development of Estrada and jazz music over 50 years.
