Winners of 23rd ‘Foremost Traditional Script Writers of Mongolia-2019’ awarded

ceremony to award winners of the annual national contest ‘Foremost Traditional
Script Writers of Mongolia-2019’, organized by the MONTSAME Agency’s ‘Khumuun
Bichig’ newspaper, was held today at the National Modern Art Gallery.
In
her opening speech, Director General of the MONTSAME News Agency B.Ganchimeg
expressed gratitude to the participants and said, “Under the headship of this
contest, which began 23 years ago with a respect to the traditional script, the
MONTSAME Agency started organizing contests in four languages.”
Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh handed over prizes to the winners
and gave remarks.
More than 4000 participants sent their works to the ‘Foremost
Traditional Script Writers of Mongolia-2019’ and among all provinces, Khuvsgul
aimag’s participants sent the most works.
The contest is considered as the highest prize educational
competition as four 12th grade pupils are awarded the rights to study at the
National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian National University of
Education with non-refundable scholarship in addition to prizes of travelling
abroad to best participants of other categories.
The most competitive category or 'Best Traditional Script Writer
Class’ involved over 2700 school children of 108 classes. The category’s
winner is 9A class of the general educational school No:1 of Ulaanbaatar city.
