Capital city governor meets Ambassador of China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On February 13, Governor of the capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Amarsaikhan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia Chai Wenrui.


Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Governor S.Amarsaikhan voiced his willingness to expand the strategic partnership and economic cooperation between the two countries and have win-win cooperation. He also offered his condolences about the coronavirus outbreak and undertook to provide support in every way possible.


Ambassador Chai Wenrui showed readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation in a mutually beneficial way, implement numerous projects in Ulaanbaatar, and continue with strategic talks, while noting that the capital city’s rapid economic and infrastructure development caught his eye upon his arrival after a decade.


At the meeting, Governor S.Amarsaikhan handed over the Ulaanbaatar city government’s donation of USD 50 thousand to the Ambassador to assist the fight against COVID-19.


Informing that specific actions are being taken against the virus under the direct guidance of the President of China, Ambassador Chai Wenrui expressed his full confidence that a definitive method for treating the disease will be found. The Ambassador also extended his deepest gratitude to China’s strategic partner, Mongolia, and its people for the sincere support and emphasized that the Chinese authorities and people will never forget this kindness.
