Operative team works in rural areas

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Regarding worsening winter situations in some aimags including Orkhon, Bulgan, Khuvsgul, Zavkhan and Uvs, an operative team, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission U.Enkhtuvshin and First Deputy Head of National Emergency Management Agency, Brigadier General G.Ariunbuyan, is working in rural areas.


The operative team yesterday worked in Orkhon and Bulgan aimags, where the spring situation is likely to worsen due to full snow coverage and finished security hay and fodder reserves of the aimag.

In Bulgan aimag, there are 8.5 thousand households of 75 baghs and one village in 16 soums, that raise 3.6 million head of livestock during the 2019-2020 winter. Some 340 thousand head of the livestock of 423 herding families of 19 soums of four aimags; Uvurkhangai, Arkhangai, Dundgobi and Tuv, are now on pasture in the territories of Rashaant, Gurvanbulag, Dashinchilen, Bayannuur, Buregkhangai, Khishig-Ungur and Mogod soums of Bulgan aimag.

Emergency commissions of the aimags requested the Deputy Prime Minister to distribute hay and fodder from state reserve to herders during the calving season, and render financial support that is required for giving health and other services to the herding families.

Moreover, the aimags’ emergency commissions reported to the operative team about the preventive measures they are taking against coronavirus infections and about the present situations.

Hearing about the situations, the Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Emergency Commission U.Enkhtuvshin assigned the authorities of the aimags to work coherently, be prompt on timely issues, and urgently resolve the financial issues to combat and prevent from the deadly disease and provide herders with hay and fodder.  

Today, the operative team is working in Khuvsgul aimag.
