Mongolian artists win first place at ice festival

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolian sculptors participated in the
‘Olkhon Ice Fest’ cultural and sports festival, held on February 16-24 on the
ice of Lake Baikal, Russia.
Held under the theme ‘Ice is life’, the festival gathered nine teams from Irkutsk, Barnaul and Moscow city of Russia and Ulaanbaatar city of Mongolia.
The Ulaanbaatar team consisting of Ts.Munkh-Erdene and D.Tserenbat
won first place with their sculpture ‘Young Queen’ which depicted Queen Anu.
Prominent Buryat sculptor Dashi Namdakov attended the
festival as an honored guest.
