Food aid provided to vulnerable children and their families
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. All schools and kindergartens in Mongolia, including 24-hour kindergartens, have been suspended because of the coronavirus outbreak.
In Ulaanbaatar city, there are more than 1900 children aged 2-5, who attend 24-hour kindergartens. According to the survey, 17 percent or over 280 children of them are living in the medium and high-risk conditions of malnutrition.
Therefore, UNICEF Mongolia, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports and the World Vision Mongolia collaborated to provide food aid to 250 vulnerable children of 24-hour kindergarten and their families.
