BoM purchases 5.3 tons of precious metal

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As of the first three months of 2020, the
Bank of Mongolia (BoM) purchased 5.3 tons of precious metal in total, of which
3.6 tons were gold and 1.7 tons were white silver. It means 290 kg tons more
precious metal were bought compared to the same period of the previous
year.
In March, 2020 BoM branches in Darkhan-Uul and Bayankhongor
aimags bought 31 kg and 36 kg respectively. The average value of BoM’s purchase
of 1 gram of gold was MNT 141,512.11 in March, 2020.
