Foreign and Agriculture Ministries sign action plan to support foreign trade

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Department and division heads of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry led by respective Ministers D.Tsogtbaatar and Ch.Ulaan convened at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs on April 29 to discuss ways to improve coordination between the two government
department works.
The sides had thorough discussions about the ways to overcome economic difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and especially the challenges facing international trade and maintain non-mining export volume as well as the measures that can be taken to achieve those goals.

Ch.Ulaan signed an Action Plan to Support Exports and Imports amid the Covid-19 pandemic and agreed to direct the efforts of the ministry departments and
divisions and diplomatic missions abroad towards the action plan’s goals.
The Ministers also stressed the importance of supporting businesspeople and traders and deepening partnerships with business entities in face of the economic difficulties and ordered the department and division heads of the two ministries to hold meetings with businesspeople and regularly exchange information with them online.
