MNT 2.4 billion to be spent on COVID-19 prevention during 2020 election

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on May 27, the Cabinet approved a resolution to use MNT 2,461,641,000 from the Government Reserve Fund to prevent Covid-19 infections during the upcoming 2020 parliamentary election.
The sum will be spent on disinfection and decontamination of polling stations, provision of protective equipment for voters and election officials, and business trips of election officials.

The Cabinet also decided to provide funding for variable costs of private kindergartens and schools for the academic year 2019-20 based on the number of their students. As per the resolution, MNT 18.8 billion will be provided for 157 schools with 46.7 thousand students and MNT 31.4 billion will be provided for 529 kindergartens with 36.9 thousand students.
