Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian experienced scholars, researchers in foreign relations and diplomats have jointly founded Mongolian Association for International Studies (MAIS) and held its opening on June 18 at the library of the National University of Mongolia.
The association aims to join researchers, specialists and amateurs who work in the areas of international relations, foreign policy and country studies at the national level, to advance their theoretical, methodological and practical knowledge and to help developing their professional skills.
The operation of the Association will cover activities including conducting training on latest trends of international relations and security studies, organizing discussions and scientific conferences, rendering assistance on collaboration with other Mongolian and foreign international research centers and scholars as well as implementing joint projects and sharing outcomes of studies between Mongolian and foreign researchers. It will also provide support on creating unified understanding on international relations matters that touch national interest in a way of exchanging information and help researchers making their studies and publishing them.
Operation of the association and its budget and financing will be transparent and open to the public.
