Foreign Minister receives Cuban Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On July 31, 2020,
H.E.Mr.N.Enkhtaivan, Minister for Foreign Affairs received H.E. Mr.Raúl Delgado
Concepción, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of
Cuba to Mongolia. Ambassador Raúl Delgado conveyed a message of felicitations
from H.E. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the
Republic of Cuba, congratulating the Minister on his appointment as the
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
Both Minister and Ambassador noted that the traditional
friendly relations between Mongolia and Cuba have been strengthening based on
the close ties between the two peoples, and exchanged views on the importance
of further enhancing bilateral cooperation in economic, education and health
sectors.
Ambassador Raúl Delgado affirmed his commitment to work
with Minister N.Enkhtaivan towards expanding bilateral cooperation, and
expressed that Cuba is ready to share its experience in health and
biotechnological sector. Minister N.Enkhtaivan praised Cuba’s efforts against
the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, he expressed his interests to collaborate
and learn from Cuban experience in tourism development.
2020 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of
diplomatic relations between two countries. In the framework of the celebration
of this historic anniversary, both sides established a “Friendship Garden” in
the National Park. Moreover, “Mongolia Today” magazine has published a special
issue dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Mongolia-Cuba relations, and “The Secret History of Mongolia” was printed out in Spanish.
