Mongolia-US cooperation in technological innovation to be expanded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Education and Science L.Tsedevsuren has met with Ambassador of the United States to Mongolia Michael Klecheski to discuss bilateral cooperation.

Minister L.Tsedevsuren said that she is thankful for bilateral cooperation in education and science with constant increase in benefits. And she emphasized the contribution made by the Ambassador in the construction of the kindergarten that was built and commissioned under the Memorandum of Understanding on Humanitarian Aid established with the United States Pacific Command, as well as the successful implementation of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program and the Fulbright scholar program, which allows Mongolian citizens to study in top U.S. universities.

During the meeting, the Education Minister expressed willingness to partner in expanding the kindergarten project, jointly realizing teacher-exchange program, conducting training on entrepreneurship development, inviting young and successful businessmen and leaders from American startup companies, to Mongolia to share experiences, and organizing innovative project competitions. The sides also noted their eagerness to mutually render support on broadening bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and science.

The meeting culminated in the parties agreeing to cooperate in the empowerment of English language teachers at all levels of education institutions, expanding and continuing the Fulbright program and the kindergarten building project, and the development of innovative startup companies.
