Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. D.Sarangerel, Minister of Environment and Tourism, today received Mr. Philip Malone, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia.

Ambassador Philip Malone said, “We are grateful that the cooperation between our two countries has been growing year by year. In particular, I would like to say that we are happy to cooperate in the field of environment and tourism. We are pleased that collaboration in the rational use of natural resources, in particular the protection of biodiversity, the elimination of illegal wildlife trade, and the strengthening of management and capacity building, is fruitful. Also we are looking to implement projects and programs to train environmental journalists.”

Minister D. Sarangerel thanked for its support in Mongolia’s response to the COVID-19 as well as for funding the Central and Northeast Asia Wildlife Week held September last year, supporting the establishment of a sub-regional wildlife cooperation mechanism.
