President Kh.Battulga receives ADB Country Director

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On September 21, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga received Country Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Pavit Ramachandran during his working visit in Khovd aimag. During their meeting, the sides discussed the railway construction taking place in the Gobi region, further plans to expand railway infrastructure, development in the western region and some projects and programs on the matter. 

 

After introducing to the President the projects being implemented by ADB in the western region and possibilities to create correlation between measures in the area, they discussed some pressing issues at the Western Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center, specifically construction of an extension block for the center, and capacity building for the medical personnel.


Noting that the President’s suggestions correlate with the projects and programs being implemented in the western region, Mr. Pavit Ramachandran expressed readiness to partner in the region. He also highlighted that the development of the country partnership strategy (2021-2024) of ADB for Mongolia is currently in its last stage.
