Views exchanged on Mongolian-S.Korean citizens’ visa-free travel

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On October 13, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Lee Yeo-hong.


The PM expressed his gratitude for the congratulatory letter sent by Prime Minister of South Korea Chung Sye-kyun. Noting that this year marks 30th diplomatic anniversary between the two countries, the PM voiced the country’s intent for enriching bilateral relations and cooperation with trade and economic content and strengthening people-to-people friendly relationships within the framework of “Mongolia-the Republic of Korea Friendship Year.”


While saying that the Mongolian Government would work hand in hand with the Korean side on combating with COVID-19 pandemic and repatriating its citizens, PM. U.Khurelsukh asked the Ambassador to provide all round potential assistance and support to Mongolian nationals who are living and working in the country.


For his part, Ambassador Lee Yeo-hong said he highly praises that Mongolia has zero local transmission of coronavirus, taking preventive measures immediately in this time of globally spread pandemic.


The sides also exchanged views on  mutual visa-free travel for the citizens of the countries and intensifying realization of projects and programs including on air pollution reduction.
