Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transport
Development L.Khaltar met with World
Bank Country Manager for Mongolia Andrei Mikhnev.
Minister L.Khaltar noted at the meeting that the sides have
successfully worked together on numerous projects and programs in Mongolia’s
road and transport sector as part of the Transport Rehabilitation and Transport
Development projects since 1999.
The Minister also outlined the transport development projects
planned in the Government’s 2020-2024 Action Program, especially those for the
development of civil aviation, railroad, road, transport, and maritime
transport.
Expressing his hope that the Action Program includes detailed
recommendations from the Bank, WB Country Manager Andrei Mikhnev said the Bank
will closely cooperate and provide assistance in reducing traffic congestion in
Ulaanbaatar, improving transport management, and introducing smart transport
solutions for the sector’s development.
