Intensive management staff for food supply formed

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The State Emergency Commission held an urgent meeting at 8 pm yesterday, November 12.

At the press briefing following the urgent SEC meeting, chairman of Government Media and Public Relations Office Ts. Ganzorig said, “During the strict lockdown regime announced by the Government and State Emergency Commission, only essential services, including food stores and supermarkets, gas stations, hospitals, pharmacies, power stations, communications and media, and funeral services, operate normally. The SEC meeting discussed the movement restriction of people, who work elsewhere except the above  mentioned sectors, other than collecting foods and going for medical examination, and putting strict control on the implementation.”

Moreover, the SEC obliged to set up an ‘Intensive management staff for food supply’ headed by the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, in accordance with the plan of actions for disaster prevention. Also, relevant officials were given duties to intensify controls at isolation facilities and prepare another 550 beds at the Military Hospital. Works to disinfect public areas and apartments and carry out the coronavirus testing at 11 points are underway.
