Khentii aimag goes into lockdown after detection of suspected COVID-19 cases

Khentii /MONTSAME/ The Emergency Department of Khentii aimag made a decision to restrict movements and close all service centers in the aimag after rapid COVID-19 tests of 2 people who arrived from Ulaanbaatar city came out positive.
Specifically, the two individuals left Ulaanbaatar city at night on November 15, but were denied entry to the aimag at the auto road checkpoint of Tsenkhermandal soum. However, the two went to their home using an illegal route passing through Darkhan, Bayanmunkh, and Bayankhutag soums.
Vehicular movements into and out of the aimag capital and pedestrian and traffic movements in the aimag capital have been restricted and citizens are instructed to stay at home and call 103 for assistance. The contacts of the suspected positive cases are being traced with promptitude as the positive rapid test results are being confirmed with PCR.
