5 new COVID-19 cases detected in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health today on January 1, it was reported that 5 new cases were detected in Mongolia after testing 17,764 people nationwide within the past 24 hours.

 

“Five new cases have been recorded in relation to the cluster infections at Bayanzurkh district hospital, while there has been no new cases in other parts of the country,” said Head of Surveillance Department at the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) A.Ambaselmaa. 


As of today, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases now stands at 1,220, with 837 recoveries.
