Baruth/Mark town of Germany provides financial aid to Murun, Khuvsgul

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Baruth/Mark town of the Federal Republic of Germany is granting financial aid of EUR 48,201 to Murun soum, Khuvsgul.

The financial aid is to be spent for providing PPE to the personnel of the city administration, hospitals, police and emergency management agency working amid the pandemic, purchase of 2,000 COVID-19 test kits for rapid testing, supply of disinfectants and raising public awareness about the dangers of the coronavirus and its prevention. 

The financial aid was handed over to Ambassador of Mongolia to Federal Republic of Germany D.Ganbat by Mayor of Baruth/Mark Peter Ilk. “The partnership between our two towns, which began in 2011, is marking its 10th anniversary this year. As part of the partnership, we have established a training center in Murun. We are also collaborating with “Eco mothers of Murun” project. In 2021, certain activities have been planned to be carried out based on the training center. We will continue to cooperate sustainably with Murun in the future”, says Mayor Peter Ilk.
